Three arrested in Plantersville drug bust

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – Three people were arrested in connection with a narcotics bust in Plantersville Thursday morning.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Tackle and Tactical Team (TACT) executed a narcotics search warrant at an address off Mossy Knoll Drive at approximately 5:45 am. According to Sheriff Don Sowell, TACT team members identified the target of the search warrant as Johnny Figueroa. . There were two other people in the residence with him, identified as Morgan Kiser and Sarah Murphy.

Kiser was found in possession of narcotics and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony. Kiser was arraigned and has a $4,000 bond. Murphy was found to have an active warrant out of Harris County for possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony. Murphy is unrelated.

Sheriff Sowell says Figueroa was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, a first degree felony; Possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony; Possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of two to four ounces of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. Figueroa was a magistrate and has a $70,000 bond.

Deputies recovered 178 grams of methamphetamine, 3.7 grams of amphetamine pills, 3.6 grams of Xanax, 11.3 grams of hydrocodone, 3.8 grams of crack cocaine, and three ounces of marijuana.

Sheriff Sowell says all three people were booked into the Grimes County Jail.
