    (Ripley County, IN) – Ripley County 911 and the Ripley County Health Department are partnering in an effort to empower citizen responders to provide life-saving assistance to cardiac arrest victims in public through an app.

    PulsePoint allows people who are trained in CPR and willing to assist to receive calls for help.

    In addition to nearby “CPR needed” notifications, PulsePoint subscribers can track their local agency and choose to be notified of significant events that may affect their family.

    PulsePoint also offers an AED registry that will connect with responders, bystanders and 911 Dispatch. You can register these devices at AED.NEW.

    “We’re hoping to raise awareness and get the community involved so we can help in an emergency,” said Paul Tyrer of the Ripley County Health Department.
