Cambridge police have arrested a fraud suspect in Pennsylvania

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge police arrested a man wanted in Pennsylvania on Thursday.

We’re told Melvin Nalley, 44, was booked into the Lebanon County Detention Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on an active Dorchester County District Court warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation that began in February of this year when officers were called to Summit Community Bank for a reported fraud. It was learned that Nalley entered the bank to complete a transaction when he allegedly produced a fake Delaware license. When bank employees told Nalley the ID was fake, he fled the area on foot.

Further investigation led police to identify Nalley as a suspect and warrants were obtained for attempted credit card application for false identity, theft of fraudulent identification information $100 to under $1500, possession/use false government identification and attempted theft less than $100. He was held without bond.
