Almost a month after the gruesome death of 19-year-old Gursimran Kaur in an oven at her Walmart workplace in Halifax, Canada, on October 20, police have completed their investigation. According to Brute India, Halifax police said the death was not suspicious and there was no evidence of foul play in the incident.

Gursimran and her mother, Mandeep Kaur, had moved to Canada from Guru Nanak Nagar in Suranussi about two years ago. Both were Walmart employees.

In an exclusive report, The Tribune pointed out that Gursimran was only three years old when her father, Rajinder Singh, moved to the UK. Gursimran, who had since endured with her paternal uncle Gurvinder Singh in Jalandhar before moving to Canada, hoped her father would join them in Canada, where they would all eventually settle.

But the family’s dream collapsed with the tragic news.
