Jonathan Majors’ Ex Grace Jabbari Drops Assault and Defamation Lawsuit

Jonathan Majorsex girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, dropped the assault and defamation suit against him.

According to court documents filed Thursday, Nov. 21, and obtained by PEOPLE, Jabbari filed for a severance clause. Majors and Jabbari have agreed, through their attorneys, that “all claims against the defendant in the aforementioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice.”

PEOPLE has contacted lawyers for both sides.

The deal comes after Jabarri filed the civil suit against Majors in the Southern District of New York in March.

In the lawsuit, Jabarri alleged that Majors exhibited a “pervasive pattern of domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023.”

One of the alleged incidents took place in September 2022. Jabbari alleged that Majors threw her on the hood of her car, brought her into their home and “began slamming her head against the marble floor while choking her until he felt he could no longer breathe. ”, after an argument the previous day.

“After the incident, Majors texted Grace asking her not to tell anyone about what happened. Ignoring the pain her body was in as a result of the violence he inflicted on her, Majors expressed concern about his career,” the suit continued. he claims, adding that Majors was afraid of being investigated.

Jabbari filed the suit after the actor was found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree, recklessly causing bodily harm, as well as harassment in the second degree last December, in a criminal case that resulted from a alleged fight between the two in March 2023.

The actor was found not guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree with intent to cause bodily harm and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree in that case.

Jabbari claimed in her March lawsuit that she was defamed “following her conviction and before her conviction” when Majors “participated in an exclusive interview with ABC News in which she doubled down on her public attack on Grace, claiming she is lying about the whole pattern. of abuse she described because he “never put his hands on a woman.” ”
