A new image has been released in the “Baby Madison” case.

MADISON COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – New information is available regarding the 2016 case of a child known as “Baby Madison.”

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Bryan resident FBI agency released a new facial reconstruction image Thursday morning. Investigators are asking anyone who may know the child’s identity to contact law enforcement.

The skeletal remains of an unidentified child were originally found on Interstate 45 near Madison on September 17, 2016. They were found about 38 miles northeast of Bryan and 95 miles north of Houston. The remains were wrapped in a white garbage bag and placed in a black suitcase.

The sheriff’s office says forensic tests later confirmed the remains belonged to a girl between the ages of two and five. She wore a long-sleeved pink dress, size 4T, by the brand “Mon Petit” with butterflies that read “Follow Your Dreams”. He was also wearing a size four diaper. “Baby Madison” was also found with a feeding tube and likely required specialized medical care during her short life.

It was originally thought that “Baby Madison’s” lower jaw was smaller than normal, a condition known as micrognathia. However, the facial reconstruction image generated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) was updated after additional medical examiners examined the remains. Based on new forensic evaluations and additional investigative efforts that have been completed over the years, it is believed that the child did not suffer from micrognathia.

“Baby Madison” may have ancestral ties to El Salvador and Nuevo Leon, Mexico, according to genetic test results. He also had long, thick black hair.

If you have information about who “Baby Madison” is or who may have disposed of her body along I-45 in the summer of 2016, the Bryan Sheriff’s Office and FBI are asking the public to call 936-348-2755, Ext. #322.

The Bryan RA FBI is assisting in this case by providing investigative and analytical assets and resources to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
