Wednesday’s Kid: Catching up with Jace

(WNDU) – It can be hard for some foster children to find foster homes, and even harder for foster children with special needs.

Jace is 12 years old. He is a good and adventurous boy who needs a foster family. WNDU first featured Jace two years ago, but we got a new video from Indiana Kids Belong.

Jace is non-verbal and will need extra help from his foster family.

Jace is an easy kid to put up with. He sleeps well at night and is able to dress himself every day.

He loves to hug people and really loves one-on-one interaction. He likes everyone around him and gets along well with people of all ages.

Some of his favorite activities are playing with dolls and stuffed animals. He likes books that make noise or encourage touch and feel.

Jace likes to pop bubbles and watch them float. He also likes to see pictures of himself. A great day for Jace includes a walk where he can explore to see what people are doing and investigate the nature around him.

Jace has made progress, especially in the way he expresses his wants and needs. Learn new ways to communicate every day.
