Manitoba News: Essential mail pick-up and drop-off locations are now open

The Manitoba government has opened several offices across the province to ensure checks and other essential mail are still being delivered.

The locations, created as a result of the ongoing Canada Post strike, will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Essential mail and checks that can be picked up include refunds, supplemental income checks, and disability support checks.

Anyone picking up mail must show a valid government-issued photo ID or two pieces of non-photo ID that have their name and address on them.

In Winnipeg, checks can be picked up and dropped off in the basement of the Norquay Building at 401 York Avenue. A complete list of locations outside of Winnipeg can be found online.
