WAUKESHA, Wis. (WBAY) – Flags will be flown at half-staff Thursday in honor of the victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy.

It’s the third anniversary of the tragedy in which a man drove his SUV through a parade, killing six people, including an 8-year-old boy, and injuring more than 60 others.

The driver, Darrell Brooks Jr., 40, was sentenced to six consecutive terms of life without parole.

On Thursday, the city of Waukesha will unveil a permanent memorial honoring the victims of the tragedy.
