Springfield police said Tuesday that the accident that injured a teacher and three students are still under investigation.

In a press release, officials said the accident in the parking lot of St. Kevin on West Sproul Road Monday afternoon involved a teacher found trapped under a vehicle. A female student was also injured after she was knocked down while getting into a stopped vehicle that was hit.

St. Francis of Assisi School owns the facility after multi-alarm fire destroyed its building on Saxer Avenue in October.

Two other students were treated at the scene, police said.

Parents, police and firefighters acted quickly to remove the teacher, who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said a driver was on scene and cooperative, and the crash is still under investigation.
