A man accused of stealing three vehicles from a New Forest school has appeared in court.

George James Balchin (22) is accused of committing a robbery at Coxlease School in Clay Hill, Lyndhurst, between November 5 and 6, when car keys and vehicles were taken.

Balchin, from Havant, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court last week following a multi-team investigation into a series of murders in Hayling Island, Havant, Portsmouth, Fareham and Lyndhurst.

He is also charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle and two other burglaries, as well as transmitting offensive communications and stalking without fear/alarm/entertainment.

The defendant was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on December 16.
