Coronation StreetCarla Connor is rushed to hospital next week after being attacked at Underworld.

A police investigation is sparked after a mysterious individual brutally targets Carla at the factory.

Next week’s episodes begin on a difficult note for Carla as she is rejected by her new love interest DS Lisa Swain.

Carla thought how best to approach her feelings for Lisabut she is left disappointed when Lisa finally confirms that she is not ready for a new relationship.

Disappointed with this result, Carla returns to the Underworld and is puzzled to find the place ransacked.

Just as Carla prepares to call the police, someone hits her on the head from behind and she falls to the ground.

When Carla is admitted to the hospital, Lisa rushes to be by her side and desperately hopes that she will make it.

Mason Radcliffe’s brother Matty is brought in by the police for questioning about the incident. This line of inquiry seems to disappear when Alya Nazir, who is now back in townprovides a statement corroborating Matty’s alibi.

Matty takes the opportunity to make a cruel dig at the death of Lisa’s partner, Becky, who was killed in the line of duty.

Lisa remains furious, convinced that Matty must have had something to do with Becky’s death. Is she on something?

Later in the week, Matty and his other brother, Logan, are furious when they see Lisa watching them from the car.

Alya steps in and files a complaint with Lisa and DC Kit Green, warning that her client claims she is a victim of police harassment.

Lisa claims she only crossed paths with Mason’s brothers by accident, but Kit doesn’t think she’s telling the truth. Will Lisa now delve deeper into the tragic case of Becky’s death?
