NEOSHO, Mo. — A home in Neosho sustained heavy damage in a weekend fire.

Crews responded to the fire at 409 South Washington Avenue shortly after 8:00pm on Saturday. Upon arrival, they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the two-story home.

With the help of Redings Mill through mutual aid, firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control. Investigators determined that the fire was accidental, originating in the living room. However, the home sustained significant damage.
