Troopers: Johnstown woman charged in Perth burglary | Leader Herald News

PERTH – A Johnstown woman has been charged in connection with a home burglary in Perth, New York State Police said Monday.

Leslie J. Davis, 55, of Johnstown, was charged last week with one count of second-degree burglary, a felony, police said.

The investigation began on November 11 when troopers received a complaint about a previous burglary at a home in Perth, police said.

Investigators determined that Davis, the day before, had been observed on the property going through the trash, and when confronted by the homeowner, left the location in a vehicle, police said.

The victim then realized Davis had allegedly entered the home and taken items without authorization or permission, police said. The house was unoccupied at the time.

Davis was arrested and taken to await arraignment.
