A man suffered a concussion after being subjected to a package attack, police said.

Avon and Somerset Police said the incident happened on South Road in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, at around 21:30 GMT on September 28.

The 53-year-old victim was “repeatedly struck”, the force said, and is undergoing medical assessments with eye specialists.

The suspect is described as being in his 30s or 40s and of a muscular build with a tattooed sleeve on his left arm.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark T-shirt with the letters “NY” in white on the front, jeans and black shoes, police added.
