Four people were injured after a single-engine aircraft crashed at the Pomona Dragstrip in California, local authorities said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the accident on the X, saying it happened at the Pomona Fairplex during the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) drag finals, which drew a large crowd to the area.

The aircraft, a Piper PA-32, registered as N617ET, took off from Apple Valley, California on 17 November 2024 at 10:40 local time. The aircraft was flying to La Verne, California, according to FlightAware.
