An unidentified youth attacked a 28-year-old man with a knife in Hallomajra on Friday evening.

The victim Sonu Kumar Yadav, a private employee, said that around 10 pm, while parking his motorcycle in front of his house, a man from his neighborhood blocked his way. When Yadav asked him to move out, the situation escalated, the man allegedly abused him without provocation.

Yadav added that when he tried to stop him, the boy slapped his face and started throwing his hands at him. During the confrontation, the accused allegedly brandished a knife-like object and stabbed Yadav on the left side of the stomach before fleeing the spot.

Yadav was rushed to GMCH-32 by a PCR vehicle, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The police have registered a case under Sections 126(2), 118(1), 109 of the NBS and launched an investigation into the incident. Yadav, who was able to recognize the attacker but did not know his name, provided a description that could help identify him.
