A violent dispute between McDonald’s employees leaves a customer with a broken bone

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) – Three McDonald’s employees were facing assault charges after an order dispute turned violent, leaving a customer with a broken facial bone.

A customer at a north Columbus McDonald’s, unhappy with his order, requested a correction that led to an altercation with employee Cedric Love on Oct. 17, according to WCMH.

Torshawn Williams, another employee, filled a cup from the drinking fountain and, along with Love and a third employee, Cornelious Goodrich, went outside. Surveillance footage captured parts of the altercation as the customer remained at the pickup window.

Williams allegedly threw the glass through the open driver’s side window, causing the customer to exit the van. According to WCMH, the three employees began hitting the customer in the head, resulting in a broken orbital bone around his left eye that required surgery.

Goodrich appeared in court and was issued a $30,000 bond Wednesday. He has a previous conviction for voluntary manslaughter from 2004, for which he served 12 years in prison. Williams was granted a $50,000 bond and a temporary restraining order Thursday. Both were scheduled to return to court on Nov. 22.

An arrest warrant was issued Nov. 6 for Love, who remains at large.
