Man stabbed in neck with broken bottle in NE Portland bar fight

PORTLAND Hours. (KPTV) – A man was seriously injured after he was stabbed in the neck during a fight at a Northeast Portland bar Friday night, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Shortly before midnight, police responded to the report of a stabbing near Northeast Sandy Boulevard and Northeast Lawrence Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a victim suffering from serious neck injuries.

Police administered first aid to the man and gathered a description of the suspect.

According to witnesses, the suspect hit the victim with a glass. The window broke and seriously injured the victim.

Police said they found and arrested the suspect, identified as Abraham Bravo, 28, of Portland, two blocks west of the bar.

Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to hospital, where he is expected to recover.

Bravo was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on an outstanding warrant and now also faces second-degree assault charges.

Police said they believe other witnesses may have left the bar before officers arrived and asked anyone with information to email Detective Michael Greenlee at [email protected] and reference number 24-294041.
