The Longford school headteacher will appear on TV show ‘The Money List’ on Saturday night.

Longford’s Kevin Mollaghan will appear on RTÉ’s latest quiz show when he competes on The Money List this weekend.

The Killoe primary school headteacher will appear on the Baz Ashmawy-based game show on Saturday (November 16) at 8.35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.

Money List is a quiz where two teams of strangers compete for a cash prize by completing a series of lists.

This week’s champions face Sandra from Laois and Philip from Kerry for the chance to win €15,000, with the winner taking on new challengers Jeffrey from Kildare and Kevin from Longford.

The Money List airs on weekends, Saturday and Sunday evenings each week.

Two teams of complete strangers are challenged to fill in the missing answers on a list. The more lists they complete, the more money they earn. Lists can be about anything from “US Presidents” to “Madonna Hit Singles”.

The Money List presenter Baz Ashmawy commented: “I’m so excited The Money List is back! The fact that it will take place every night on Saturday and Sunday really adds to the excitement, with up to €30,000 each night.

“This season we have an amazing line-up of contestants, lucky foreigners from all over the country who have the chance to win some amazing amounts of money. It will be brilliant!”

The first team to win two lists will play for €15,000. Each correct answer on the list is a step up the money ladder to that top cash prize. As champions progress, they can bank their money or continue, but one wrong answer will lose them all.

As the winning team progresses up the Money List, if they continue to win, they can continue to win until another team of competitors eliminates them.

Kevin is the second person from Longford to take part in the audition as Daphne Barden, from Clondra, featured in the series late last month.
