Bearing a grudge against the complainant for rejecting his proposal, Vijay started harassing her.

Hyderabad: A nursing student approached the police and filed a complaint against a young man who allegedly harassed her on Instagram.

The complainant, who is studying BSc Nursing at a private college, claimed that the suspect Ch Vijay became friends on Instagram and the two have had casual conversations since then. However, he recently proposed to her, but she turned him down.

According to the police, bearing a grudge against the complainant for rejecting his proposal, Vijay started harassing her. He threatened to release her private photos and videos and defame her and family members.

She told the police that Vijay also sexually assaulted her once when she was returning from college and threatened to give her an injection containing HIV, thereby infecting her with the dreaded disease. He abused and assaulted her several times.

On November 15, Vijay came to the complainant’s house and created nuisance and threatened her family members. She claimed that her life and that of her family were under threat and demanded protection and police action against the perpetrator.

Unable to take any more harassment, she approached Hayathnagar to the police and filed a complaint with the help of his family members.

Hayathnagar police are investigating. It was learned that a case was registered against Vijay at Nagarjuna Sagar police station earlier. Efforts are being made to nab the suspect at the earliest.
