    Pflugerville begins 2024 District 11-5A Division II playoff journey Texas High School Football season with a blowout win Thursday night, and the rest of the district followed suit Friday night as Bastrop, Liberty Hill and Elgin all won their bi-district games by an average score of 59-5.

    Central Texas heavyweights Westlake, Lake Travis and LBJ also advanced. Georgetown survived a 48-42 overtime thriller over Burleson Centennial in the week’s tightest game.

    In all, there were four Central Texas games: Lake Travis beat Vista Ridge, Westlake beat Vista Ridge, Vandegrift beat Austin High and Dripping Springs defeated McNeil — a District 26-6A playoff sweep of District 25-6A.
