The Lee County School District says 25 students were checked by EMS following an initial call Friday morning during a JROTC ceremony.

In addition, two students were transported to the hospital.

One student’s condition was unrelated to this incident, the district says; however, another transported student was treated for “heat-related issues.”

According to the district, “everyone is doing well.”

The Lee County School District says EMS was called after 20 students “felt hot” during a JROTC ceremony Friday morning.
