Santa Rosa vehicle theft suspect arrested

The stolen goods were stored at two homes in Sebastopol, police said. Investigators are looking for the owners.

A Santa Rosa man is a suspect in a series of vehicle burglaries that led to the discovery of 13 guns plus ammunition, police said Friday.

Shan Titman, 46, was arrested Thursday and later charged with theft, receiving stolen property and numerous firearms prohibition charges, police and court records show.

He is scheduled to appear in Sonoma County Superior Court on Monday.

Also arrested was Sebastopol resident Daniel Tucker, 46, on suspicion of unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle and a firearm, according to Santa Rosa police.

Police say investigators began looking for Titman after he was identified as a suspect in a pair of vehicle burglaries last month.

The investigation led them to two homes in the 5000 block of Lupine Lane, west of Rohnert Park, where officials suspected stolen property was being kept.

After obtaining search warrants, police pulled Titman over Thursday morning near Santa Rosa Avenue and Mountain View Drive.

He is accused of having methamphetamine, 12 handguns and a short-barreled assault rifle in his trunk, police said. None of the guns were registered to the suspect, who has a previous conviction and is prohibited from possessing weapons.

Investigators searched both homes and found property associated with three Santa Rosa burglaries, plus a short-barreled shotgun.

The rifle belonged to Tucker, who is also prohibited from possessing weapons due to a previous conviction, according to police.

Authorities are trying to identify the owners of the stolen property.
