Police are investigating the theft at the Kensington jewelery store

KENSINGTON, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County police are investigating after suspects stole items from a Kensington jewelry store Friday night.

Around 3 a.m., Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers were called to the store on the 3700 block of Farragut Ave after a burglary was reported.

Police said multiple suspects forced their way into the store. As of Friday afternoon, it was unclear how much merchandise was stolen.

MCPD said the investigation is ongoing and no additional information was available as of 1 p.m.
