HRD organizes orientations for new members

DHAKA, November 15, 2024 (BSS) – The Executive Committee of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) today hosted an orientation program for its new members in Sagar-Runi Auditorium in the city.


The committee welcomed new members, including those who received permanent and temporary membership with flowers.


Previously, the HRD 2024 executive committee approved temporary membership for 39 reporters this year, while 39 reporters received letters of permanent membership.


DRU President Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo presided over the function and said that the new members should follow the constitution of DRU and journalistic norms everywhere.


Secretary General Mohi Uddin also delivered a speech and said that the new members should uphold the image of HRD during their professionalism.


Organizing Secretary Khalid Saifullah moderated the program while Women Affairs Secretary Mahmuda Dolly and former HRD President Mursalin Nomani also spoke.


Among others, Welfare Secretary Mr Tanvir Ahmed, Sports Secretary Mr Mahbubur Rahman, Office Secretary Rafiq Rafi, Executive Committee members Delwar Hossain Mohin and Mr Shariful Islam were present at the time.
