Fake cop tries to cheat a real Kerala cop, gets life advice in return

A video of a Kerala police officer advising a cyber fraudster posing as a policeman to mend his ways has left the internet in splits. It all started with a wrong call by the man to the Thrissur city police posing as an officer from Mumbai. The video, shared by police on social media, shows the fraudster on a call with a real policeman in police uniform, with two Indian flags and a collection of files to keep him company.

In complete confidence, the impersonator can be heard asking the real police officer, who in turn posed as the victim, to turn on the camera. “My camera is not working properly, sir,” the officer is heard saying on the call. To this, the impersonator replies, “Move your camera down a little.” The situation suddenly explodes into laughter when the cop reveals who he really is. The quiet impersonator changes the tone of his argument, but the policeman says in Hindi, “Don’t do this bro, leave this job. I have your location, I have your address. I have everything. This is the brother of the cybernetic cell,” as the fraud tries to resist with a smile.

The video, which is made in a meme format, has garnered over 162,000 views and 7,600 likes. The reel, subtitled in Malayalam, captures the fraudster’s shocked expression when he realizes he is talking to the police.
