The court heard that Kubalik was with a woman when he approached the victim, who was sitting in his car on Harehills Lane, and asked her if she would give them a ride to St Alban Road.

The man agreed, but when they arrived, Kubalik attacked him and left with his belongings.

Following CCTV inquiries, he was arrested and pleaded guilty to robbery at Leeds Crown Court in October.

Det Con Joe Kendrew, of Leeds District Crime Team, said: “This attack was so violent it left the victim with multiple facial fractures which required multiple operations.

“I hope this result will give him comfort as he continues his recovery.”
