Warm weather is expected in Victoria on Saturday so the track should improve to be in the Good range for Dunkeld Cup Day. Plenty of irrigation has been put on the track, with the surface rated at Soft 5 on Friday afternoon. Dunkeld is a once-a-year venue and the layout of the track suits horses who can sit close to the lead and near the inside fence.

Race 4 no. 1 – First official

I love the recent attempts of the first friend and he seems ready to shoot first. This trip may look on the short side of his preferred distance, but it looks like the stable have him very sharp this time. Maps to track speed and should hopefully be strong late.

Race 2 no. 4 – Flick Roll

Tom Dabernig seems to have found the perfect race for the Flick Roll. She is very fast and looks suitable back to 1000m in a race with limited opposition. She was fired from the barriers and driven for a long distance in a $75,000 maiden at Warrnambool last start and this is clearly much weaker.
