Liminal responds to requests for non-cooperation; Here’s what he said

Liminal Custody, a digital asset custody solution company, has denied claims made in the recent India Today report that Liminal showed a lack of cooperation with the Delhi Police in the cyber attack on cryptocurrency exchange WazirX. The report states that in a chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police in a cyber attack case, there was alleged non-cooperation from the Liminal Custody.

Responding to the report, in an official statement, Liminal said ABP Live, Contrary to media reports, we would like to clarify that Liminal has not only submitted its response to the authorities, but has also formally met with IFSO officials to assist them with all our efforts, despite territorial limitations on data sharing. We have no indication of a lack of cooperation from the authorities, and we continue to proactively engage and offer our support to address this issue with transparency and accountability. It is important to stress that despite what the media narrative may insinuate, investigations with all parties are still ongoing and it is extremely premature to reach any conclusions at this stage. We advise the community to exercise due discretion before forming any opinions based on reports based on inferences that may or may not accurately reflect the actual source.”

Liminal’s commitment to regulatory compliance and transparent operation remains a cornerstone of our business practices. We will continue to cooperate fully with the relevant authorities while complying with all legal and jurisdictional requirements governing our operations in India, Singapore and other territories globally,” it added.

Further, in the charge sheet revised by ABP Live, it is stated that Liminal responded to the notification. “Dduring the investigation, on 27.9.2024 a notice was again given to Answer Eleven Pte Limited Le. Liminal and on 01.10.2024 Responds Eleven Pte Limited i.e. Liminal responded to the notice but did not provide the data or logs of the alleged date. A detailed analysis of the Devices, logs and examination of the concerned officials at Liminal is yet to be done to establish the role of the company as well as its employees,” the chargesheet said.

Liminal sources said ABP Live“There may be a delay in sharing the information we can provide, but we remain committed to ensuring 100% compliance and cooperation within the law.”
