INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – A two-car crash just east of the Truman Sports Complex on I-70 sent several people to the hospital Thursday night.

The Independence Police Department said it happened just after 4 p.m

Westbound I-70 in the area of ​​Noland Road had the right lane closed while crews responded to the scene.

At least two people were hospitalized following the accident. Their condition is unclear, according to IPD dispatchers.

KC Scout said the crash scene is expected to be cleared by 5 p.m. Thursday.
