The investigation began after hundreds of dead fish were found in Linlithgow Loch

An investigation has been launched after hundreds of dead fish were found in a West Lothian lake.

Footage from Linlithgow Loch showed a large amount of dead fish washed up on the popular trout fishing spot.

Scottish Water and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) said they were aware of the incident and attended the scene on Tuesday 12 November.

The incident is believed to be pollution-related, but investigations are underway to confirm the cause.
