Fayetteville police arrest three juveniles in connection with July robbery on Wedington Drive | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

FAYETTEVILLE — Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a July robbery involving a gun.

Fayetteville Police responded around 4:09 am July 10th to the Phillips 66 gas station at 3080 W. Wedington Drive in reference to a robbery report, according to dispatch records.

Five people in a stolen car arrived at the store early that morning, and two of them got out of the vehicle wearing masks, hoodies and gloves before stealing items from inside the business, according to a Facebook post by the Fayetteville Police Department.

A store employee tried to stop the theft, at which point one of the masked suspects pulled out a firearm, threatened the clerk and fired the weapon, according to the post. All the suspects then fled in the stolen car.

The three people arrested this week in connection with the incident are juveniles, according to Sgt. Stephen Mauk, Public Information Officer. He did not say what charges they face or if they are currently in custody.

No one was injured in the incident, according to police, who are still searching for the remaining two suspects. Anyone with information about the robbery can contact police at (479) 587-3520 and speak with investigators regarding incident no. 2024-47606.
