Eva Longoria flees the US with her family after Trump won the election

Eva Longoria has revealed that she fled the United States with her family after President-elect Donald Trump won the 2024 election.

“I’m privileged,” the “Desperate Housewives” star. Marie Claire admitted for her November 2024 cover story published Wednesday.

“I can escape and go somewhere. Most Americans are not so lucky. They will be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

Longoria, who was born and raised in Texas, explained that she, her husband, José Bastón, and their 6-year-old son, Santiago, now split their time between Spain and Mexico.

“I’ve had my whole adult life here,” she said of Los Angeles. “But even before (the pandemic), everything was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened and pushed him over the edge. Whether it’s homelessness or taxes, it’s not that I want to give birth in California — I just feel like that chapter of my life is over now.”

The 49-year-old actress was open supporter of Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, before the Nov. 5 election and even spoke at the Democratic National Convention in August.

“The shocking part is not that he won,” she told the Apprentice alum’s magazine. “It’s that a convicted felon who spews so much hate could hold the highest office.”

Trump, 78, had found guilty in May of 34 counts of falsifying business records related to him quiet the cash payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. He was too found guilty of sexual abusedefamation and financial fraud.

Longoria reflected on the Republican politician Victory in 2016 over Hillary Clintonalso saying she felt “depressed” and stayed in bed.

She supported the vice president at several events. A?

“He was like, ‘Does my vote really matter?’ Am I really making a difference?’” she recalled thinking.

“I was so disconnected from the core of what I believe because I truly believed in my soul that the best man wins. And then it happened and I was like, “Oh, wait. The best man doesn’t win.”

Looking ahead to Trump’s second term in the White House, the “Looking for Mexico” host warned, “If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
