12 troopers injured in bus crash on NJ Turnpike

A dozen troopers and a truck driver were injured when a tractor-trailer struck a bus on the New Jersey Turnpike in Camden County, according to authorities and news reports.

A disabled northbound bus was in the right lane and on the right shoulder when a tractor-trailer struck it about 12:55 p.m. near milepost 25.6 in Runnemde, state police said.

The bus was occupied by military personnel traveling from Maryland, according to the report 6abc.com. The truck driver was also injured.

State police told NJ Advance Media the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The accident remains under investigation.
