Mother of 2-month-old girl dies after ‘tragic’ golf cart accident: The police

The mother of a 2-month-old girl has died in Maryland two days after she was injured in a tragic incident involving a golf cart, police have confirmed.

They added that Blasetti was “airlifted to the University of Maryland Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center” before she died of her injuries on Monday, November 11.

Police identified Blasetti, 32, of Annapolis, as the passenger in the wagon, in the release, but did not name the driver of the vehicle, who was listed as a 32-year-old woman from Crownsville.

Justin Mulcahy of the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Department said of the tragic incident, “It appears that at some point they hit some sort of sinkhole, and at that point, that passenger was thrown from the golf cart or thrown from the golf cart,” WJZ News.

“This is an extremely tragic, unfortunate situation,” Mulcahy continued, the media reported. “Our hearts go out to everyone affected and we will continue to investigate with the State’s Attorney’s Office just to determine exactly what happened here.”
