Heavy rain, gusty winds Thursday morning

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The FOX19 NOW Weather Team declared Thursday First Alert Weather Day.

Heavy rain and gusty winds Thursday morning will affect the morning commute.

There are already puddles and standing water from overnight rain on some roads and highways, including points on northbound and southbound Interstate 75.

As you head out the door, watch out for washed-out roads and longer-than-normal delays.

An inch or more of rain is expected to accumulate before rain chances taper off Thursday night.

Temperatures will cool Thursday with highs in the 50s.

Friday will start out dry with temperatures in the 60s by afternoon.

However, an unsettled weather pattern will develop into next week, with temperatures gradually cooling to near normal for this time of year, with highs in the 40s through the weekend before Thanksgiving.
