ALESSON US Donald Trump has believed since his first term that personnel is everything. That might explain the breakneck pace of his administration’s nominations in the week since he won re-election. Unfortunately, the same perspective could also explain Mr. Trump’s choices for his top lieutenants, including the attorney general nomination of Matt Gaetz, a congressman from Florida who is despised even by many in his own party. Too many of them appear to have been selected primarily because their personal loyalty to Mr. Trump will be bound by no qualms.
