The incident happened in Sharpstone Lane, Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury – almost where a truck crashed into the Trei Pești pub monday morning Firefighters were also on the scene.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “At 1.39am on Thursday 14 November, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a car fire in Shrewsbury.

“The small hatchback vehicle involved in the fire. Crews used two drum jets to extinguish the fire while wearing breathing apparatus.”

A fire engine was sent to the scene from Shrewsbury.
