RSSS district photographer and social media manager Emily Nance shares her plaque for winning Classified Staff Member of the Month during the most recent board of education meeting. – Sent

SALISBURY — Each month, the Salisbury Forum honors one classified employee and one licensed employee as the “Salisbury Forum Employee of the Month” for the Rowan-Salisbury School System.

These staff members are nominated by students and parents, and winners receive $250, a six-month membership to the Forum, and a 5-class pass to SoFul Yoga and Wellness at the Railwalk.

Certified Staff Member of the Month:

The RSS Forum Certified Staff Member of the Month is Heather Zablocki, a teacher at Koontz Elementary School.

Zablocki was nominated by a parent who said: “My daughter absolutely loves going to school. I know because of Mrs. Z. She is very compassionate. She spends time with the children to understand all their needs individually. My daughter even calls me Miss Z sometimes, which lets me know that she receives the love, compassion and care I give her as a mother. This is what every parent wants to feel and know. She is truly amazing!!!! We love her!!!”

Classified Staff of the Month:

RSS Forum Staff Member of the Month is District Photographer and Social Media Manager Emily Nance.

Nance was nominated by a student who said, “She always goes above and beyond to showcase everything that’s going on in the district. She always has a smile on her face and it’s so contagious as you can see from her pictures. Plus, he took some really cute pictures of my friends and me!”
