Wallingford police are looking for suspects in two robberies

WALLINGFORD, CT (WFSB) – Wallingford Police are looking for suspects in two robberies that happened in the past week.

Officers say that on November 8th at approximately 10:05 p.m., units responded to a Checkers located at 99 North Colony Road for a robbery. A suspect, wearing a camouflage jacket and ski mask, took off with cash from the house.

They did not show any weapons and no one was injured.

Then, on Wednesday afternoon around 5:38 p.m., officers responded to a Valero gas station at 720 North Colony Road for another robbery.

The suspect, who was wearing a lighter colored Carhartt style jacket with a lighter colored hoodie underneath and a ski mask, threatened the clerk with a gun and fled the scene with cash from the house. No injuries were reported.

“The Wallingford Police Department would like to urge business owners, residents and transients alike to be vigilant. We ask business owners and workers to make sure their surveillance systems are working, that they have access to phones to call emergency services, and that you take care to ensure they are protecting their staff, cash and merchandise,” Wallingford Police said in a statement.

It is not known if the incidents are related. Suspects on the loose may be armed and dangerous.
