Man accused of theft in Norfolk as police investigate leaked nudes

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Norfolk Division of Police arrested a 22-year-old man for stolen property and possession of methamphetamine shortly after authorities served three search warrants for the man.

Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, NPD received a call about a stolen 2012 F-150 from Platte County that was seen driving on North 3rd Street and Elm Avenue.

According to an arrest affidavit, the officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as 22-year-old Kobe Roan.

Roan was arrested after he said he bought the vehicle from a friend but had no documents to prove he bought the truck.

Court records show the officer searched the truck and found drug paraphernalia that tested positive for meth with Roan’s belongings.

He is charged with theft by receiving stolen property over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.

While he is being held in Madison County on the charges, other court records show Roan is under investigation after several nude videos and images of young women in the area were posted online in September.

Authorities said several women in the area, all of whom had some relationship with Roan, had revealing images or videos of them posted on a pornography site without their consent.

Deputies are investigating to find who posted the images and videos, and three search warrants have been filed between Madison and Boone counties to allow authorities to search Roan’s phone and other property.

Authorities also believe some of the content that was posted depicts minors.

Roan was not charged in the case.
