HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Waffle) – A preliminary hearing has been set for the man accused of shooting and killing a man in a Huntsville Twin Peaks on Nov. 9according to the court documents obtained by WAFF.

Jeremiah Matkins is accused of killing Ray’shun Markelle Bates, 23, of Decatur.

Court documents reveal Matkins has a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 4, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. in the Madison County Courthouse.

Matkins was arrested on November 10 and charged with murder. He remains in the Madison County Jail on $50,000 bond.
