Bradenton police investigate two shootings after woman killed in crossfire

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – The Bradenton Police Department is investigating a pair of shootings that left a 43-year-old woman dead who was caught in the crossfire.

The first shooting happened on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the 2400 block of 8th Avenue in Bradenton around 6 p.m.

Detectives say the suspects fired at least ten rounds, destroying homes and vehicles.

The next shooting happened around 7:30 PM in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue E. That’s when more than thirty rounds were fired.

The victim had just returned home from shopping and was hit while sitting in her car.

Detectives say she was not the intended victim.

Responding officers provided emergency aid until EMS arrived. She was taken to hospital but died overnight from her injuries. I
