Jagan Mohan Reddy slams Chandrababu Naidu and TDP for delayed budget, sabotaging Jindal investments with fake case

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticized the delayed presentation of the state budget, calling it an “eyewash” meant to distract the public. Reddy claimed that the delay was strategically planned to prevent scrutiny of the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) broken promises and avoid questions about unfulfilled schemes.

“This budget is nothing but a mere distraction for the public,” Jagan said, adding that the TDP had deliberately delayed the budget to avoid exposing Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s lies and false promises. He accused Naidu of engaging in an organized effort to manipulate public opinion through media channels, which he called “Yellow Media”.

“Chandrababu Naidu’s drama and actions pale in comparison to NT Rama Rao’s career and acting,” remarked Jagan.

Jagan also cited the alleged financial pressure left behind by Naidu’s administration. “Chandrababu Naidu handed us a debt of over Rs 42,183.80 crore after his government resigned in 2019,” he claimed.

He accused the TDP of sabotaging investment opportunities in the state, specifically citing the case involving industrial giant Jindal Industries. Reddy alleged that the false allegations in the Kadambari Jethwani case and the subsequent investigation by the Andhra Pradesh police led to Jindal’s decision to withdraw his investments from the state.

Jagan questioned the motivations behind the investigation, claiming the complaints were false and politically motivated. “What are they trying to achieve by registering false cases and raising these complaints? Whose name do I take? The state government promoted these cases at whose behest? From someone who is a habitual criminal, a person who has blackmailed others. and has cases pending in several courts,” Jagan said.

“Instead of rolling out a red carpet for industries, you drive away those who have already laid the groundwork. Your attitude keeps them coming back,” he said.
