Cassie Files Suit

In November 2023, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging rape, assault, forced sex with male sex workers, and that Combs blew up the car of Kid Cudi, who was dating Ventura at the time. The case was settled out of court.

More accusers come forward

In the days following Cassie’s accusations, Joi Dickerson-Neal alleged in a New York lawsuit alleging the rapper drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1991 and later engaged in “revenge porn.”

Before long, an anonymous Jane Doe alleged in another suit Empire State established that Combs and a second man raped Doe and her friend in 1990 or 1991 and that Combs physically assaulted Doe again a few days later.

A fourth trial in four weeks

Weeks later, another trial accused Combs sex trafficking and participation in the gang rape of a 17-year-old in 2003.

Combs goes down to riot

Amidst the whirlwind of accusations, Combs he resigned as its president Revolt Media in November 2023.

The music producer is filing a $30 million suit

In late February 2024, Combs was hit a $30 million lawsuit by the producer of his latest release, Love Album: Off The Grid.

Lil Rod claimed that Combs forced him to have sex with prostitutes, subject him to constant genital groping, and short-changed him for $50,000 for his work on his 2023 release.

Combs’ homes were raided by the feds

Combs saw his LA and Miami estates raided by Homeland Security and local law enforcement in March 2024 as “part of an ongoing investigation.” The mogul later called it “an unprecedented ambush.”

Combs’ son accused of sexual assault

In April 2024, the rap mogul’s 26-year-old son Christian was accused of “drugs and sexual assault” steward on a luxury yacht the family chartered in late 2022.

The elder Combs is also a defendant, named for turning what was supposed to be a “wholesome family vacation” into a place for “illegal drug use, sex work and general mayhem.”

Hotel Assault Video Surfaces

A graphic clip obtained by CNN in May 2024 shows Combs with a towel around his waist appearing to repeatedly attack Ventura in a Century City hotel hallway.

Diddy apologizes, Cassie doesn’t accept

Shortly after the hotel video surfaced, Combs, who had previously denied Ventura’s assault allegations, apologized.

“My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.” he wrote on Instagrambefore saying he’s since “entered therapy, gone to rehab.”

Ventura, though a representative, called Combs’ statement an act of “pathetic desperation”, claiming that “no one will be influenced by his dishonest words”.

No prosecution for 2016 hotel brawl

Los Angeles’ George Gascón announced in mid-May that Sean Combs would not be prosecuted for the attack captured on hotel surveillance footage.

“If the behavior described had occurred in 2016,” Gascón said, “unfortunately, we would not have been able to charge because the behavior would have occurred beyond the time frame in which an assault offense can be prosecuted.”

Combs arrested in Manhattan

On September 16, Combs was arrested in NY in an action related to the raids on the rapper’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami. He was arrested in the lobby of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan by Homeland Security Investigations.

Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, later called the detention “disappointing” and referred to “an unfair prosecution.”

Diddy accused of sex trafficking, racketeering and more

On September 17, Combs was officially accused on federal racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

In response, he pleaded “not guilty” but was denied bail.

The trio of charges could see him behind bars for life if convicted.

A new sexual assault lawsuit was filed

“In or around the summer of 2001, plaintiff’s life was violently disrupted when defendants Sean Combs and Joseph Sherman brutally raped her at the Bad Boy Records studio in New York.” read the complaint against Combs, his bodyguard and Bad Boy corporate entities, filed in federal court in New York.
