The Nvidia app came out the earliest public beta form in February this yearand just nine months later, the official app was finally launched. This comes alongside some new graphics drivers for upcoming games and, most importantly, further cements the app’s replacement of Nvidia’s previous software attempts.

Back in February, the app destroyed GeForce Experience, I found it much less consistent, and it came with a new user interface, HDR support for any game, and the ability to capture at 120 fps. However, the best part about trading on the Nvidia app is that you don’t have to deal with an Nvidia account.

You can effectively use the entire app without creating or signing in to your account, which was a rather annoying part of using previous Nvidia apps. Given that the latest Nvidia The graphics driver update fixed a number of high-severity vulnerabilitiesit’s important to keep your device up-to-date, so any barriers to entry could prevent some players from using older apps in full.

Unfortunately, Nvidia’s official app release doesn’t come with any new additions to the software. That means it’s less of a meaningful release and more of a ceremonial one. Although a graphics driver update has been released, so has the announcement that some RTX 40 series cards will come bundled with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle moving forward.

However, it’s worth noting that this announcement implies a level of assurance in Nvidia’s app. Being in beta for most of this year is a necessary communication that the software is new and subject to change. The release means it’s here to stay, and since switching to it over the last few months, I’m glad I did. It’s good software with intuitive controls for understanding your platform, leveraging any Nvidia codes, and most importantly getting driver updates.

I’ve never had much trouble logging into my account to get the software up and running before, but I understand that many users just don’t want to rack up multiple accounts and passwords to remember just to- and play the games. Of course, users can get and manually download drivers from Nvidia website but it is a much longer process. With this app, that becomes much easier.
