Habitat for Humanity hosts the Homeownership Orientation

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt is hosting Homeownership Guidelines to inform people about how they can apply for a Habitat home.

Habitat for Humanity builds homes for low-income families, but it’s a tedious process to apply.

At the orientation, they will go over qualifications, the application process and more.

Habitat for Humanity leaders say they wanted to hold this event as part of their mission to bring everyone into an affordable home.

“They should be prepared to learn about the home ownership process,” said Bree Hartfield of Habitat for Humanity. “We’re really excited to do that because we’re at house #73 right now, that’s going to end at the end of the year. So we’re ready to start building more homes in the new year, and that could be you.”

There are two days of orientation left: Friday, November 15 at noon and Saturday, November 16 at 10 a.m. Space is limited, so please call and register at 601-582-4663.
