PALERMO Maine (WABI) – One person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Palermo on Tuesday.

Liberty Fire and Rescue responded to assist.

They say the Palermo Deputy Fire Chief cut the windshield with an ax to treat the patient until Liberty Paramedic and EM-T arrived.

They say they were able to stabilize the truck to prevent it from rolling onto its roof.

There is no word yet on the condition of the occupant or the cause of the crash.
