Aussie mum’s nightmare after making ‘huge mistake’ with baby toy: ‘Parents will hate you if you give it as a Christmas present’

A young mother-of-two has issued a warning about a toy every parent should avoid buying before Christmas if they want a clean house.

Emily Skyea fitness trainer and model from the Gold Coast, revealed that she “instantly regretted” buying sticky, bouncy animal toys after they ended up on her ceiling.

“I made a big mistake,” she said in a video.

“I bought the kids these gooey dinosaur things that you put on your finger and throw in the air and they’re like jelly.

“Now they’re stuck on my ceiling and I can’t – for the life of me – get them off.

“I don’t have a tall enough ladder… What a nightmare.”

The video shows several animal figurines taped to Emily’s ceiling in her family home.

As some of them fell, the mother said they left a greasy, colored stain on her roof.

One offered some comfort: “They will fall eventually. Maybe in a few years. I had a rat like them, it took me about three years to fall off.

“We got them in Christmas crackers one year and as a family threw them on the roof over our lunch.

“The stepfather repainted the roof a month later because of the stains.”

“90% of the sticky toys on the Kmart ceiling are thrown away by adults,” observed another.
